Acquired in 2019 by Trudel, this property, strategically located at the junction of the Saint-Rodrigue and Lairet neighborhoods in Quebec City, will be transformed over the coming years. Trudel’s goal is to turn it into a unique, best-practice mixed-use living environment.
The redevelopment of Les Galeries Charlesbourg is subject to a regulatory amendment to adjust the City of Quebec’s zoning grid. On June 23, 2023, a first public participation workshop organized by the City was held. At this time, the project was unveiled to the public for the first time, and the reception was very positive.
Since that meeting, the project has been refined based on comments from participating citizens. If all goes according to plan, the zoning by-law required to launch the project should be adopted in the next few weeks.
