Trudel Alliance announces the launch of a new project for the summer of 2021 at 1950 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard, near the Robert-Bourassa highway. A truly flexible project, it will consist of two new buildings offering flexible spaces ranging from 3,000 sq. ft. to 30,000 sq. ft. This new high-quality commercial complex will offer tenants a strategic location, situated on major traffic routes in Quebec throughout the day. Furthermore, they will benefit from excellent visibility. This top-quality project is the ideal property for setting up offices, retail businesses, or showrooms. And leasing is going strong!

Trudel Alliance plans a rejuvenation of this high-potential commercial property during the year 2021. The 5050 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard location could be enhanced with 30,000 sq. ft. of office space filled with natural light. A complete redesign is planned for its ground floor, which will provide current and future tenants with an exceptional showcase on the bustling Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard. The spaces will be tailored to the tenants’ needs. The easy access via major roadways, the traffic from surrounding businesses, and the ample parking spaces are factors that will attract new tenants. Interested parties take note.

Following the success of its public consultation “Reinventing Fleur de Lys,” Trudel is launching two new initiatives: “Reinventing Place des Quatre-Bourgeois” and “Reinventing Galeries Charlesbourg,” which will run until January 31, 2021. The objectives of these initiatives are to understand the needs and expectations of the community, gather ideas to develop the most inclusive living environments for each community, and, of course, build trust with stakeholders in the areas. The population of the Capitale-Nationale region will participate in this public consultation through the website www.trudelreinvente.com. To facilitate the process for as many participants as possible, Trudel team members will be present at both commercial properties. Merchants, community organizations, and other stakeholders will also be consulted.

Established in Quebec since 1974, the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières (UQTR) will grow even further with a brand-new campus to be built on the Fleur de Lys site. This long-awaited development, carried out in partnership with Trudel Alliance, was officially confirmed on November 6, 2020, with the signing of a 15-year lease approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.

With modern facilities, open spaces, sleek architecture, and a highly accessible location, this future campus will be able to accommodate several thousand students once completed. In fact, the first students, faculty members, and staff, particularly from the psychoeducation department, will begin their studies there in the summer of 2021.

Transforming an iconic building into a center of knowledge where students can study, live, and have fun truly brings our vision for the future of this sector to life.

After operating its service center at 1950 Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard for over 20 years, Day & Ross confirmed on November 5, 2020, its decision to move to new, larger, and more modern facilities at 935 Lachance Street. Easy access to an efficient highway network was certainly an important factor for this renowned national company, but being able to rely on a property manager who cares about its tenants was also a key factor. Not only do the managers at Day & Ross recognize having a positive business relationship with Trudel, but they also discovered a reliable and quality builder with our Trudel Construction division through this project. Their loyalty is a clear testament to their trust in our organization.

In its 32nd annual GROWTH LIST ranking, published on October 15, 2020, Canadian Business ranked Trudel Alliance first in the real estate sector in Quebec and 4th in the same sector across Canada. The GROWTH LIST ranks Canadian companies based on their revenue growth over five years. With a revenue growth of 1875% over five years, it’s no surprise that Trudel Alliance appears in this prestigious ranking. Trudel Alliance is also ranked 47th in Canada across all industries. This is an exceptional achievement in the Quebec real estate sector.

Since October 5, 2020, David Chabot has held a newly created position within our company as Director of the Cabinet – Office of the President of Trudel Corporation.

Trudel Corporation is experiencing rapid and uninterrupted growth. David’s arrival has provided support to William and Jonathan Trudel in their roles. Active with the provincial government and the municipal administration of the Capitale-Nationale, he acts as a liaison in terms of representation, programs, and projects that benefit our growth. David oversees ongoing files, as well as the planning and coordination of the executive committee’s activities. He also contributes to the company’s overall strategy.

Before joining Trudel, David served as political attaché and Director of the Mayor’s Cabinet in Lévis. He made the jump to the private sector with a tinge of nostalgia. Beyond the fact that William and Jonathan were very persuasive, David was attracted to our expanding organization and dynamic team. He also brings with him his experience as a businessman and expert in politics and communication. This infusion of fresh blood will undoubtedly contribute to the vitality of Trudel Corporation.

Trudel Alliance is like one big family, and this sense of belonging among its employees and business partners is just as strong towards the community. Early in the crisis, they contacted the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale, who expressed an urgent need for space to set up a testing clinic in a large, easily accessible location. The former Sears garage at Fleur de Lys seemed ideal. However, it had been out of use for years, the restroom facilities were unusable, and the roof leaked. In short, the place was far from perfect, but it would become so in record time! The Trudel team quickly mobilized suppliers and employees. The construction site was organized in 15 minutes and operated 24 hours a day. In just seven days, the largest testing clinic in Quebec was ready. It was a true feat given the circumstances! The clinic welcomed thousands of citizens until the end of the fall of 2020.

As part of the analysis conducted by the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE) on the Structuring Public Transport Network (RSTC), Trudel Alliance produced a brief emphasizing its vision for sustainable mobility in the City of Quebec in the coming years. The document focuses on the importance of adequately serving the outer ring of the metropolitan area, prioritizing the urbanization of the Laurentian Highway, and ensuring the proper integration of the Quebec–Lévis tunnel exit planned for the Fleur de Lys sector.
The final report from the BAPE was released in November and incorporates some of our recommendations. The final form of the RSTC is still to be determined, but Trudel Alliance remains a committed player in the collective reflection surrounding its implementation.
