Since October 5, 2020, David Chabot has held a newly created position within our company as Director of the Cabinet – Office of the President of Trudel Corporation.

Trudel Corporation is experiencing rapid and uninterrupted growth. David’s arrival has provided support to William and Jonathan Trudel in their roles. Active with the provincial government and the municipal administration of the Capitale-Nationale, he acts as a liaison in terms of representation, programs, and projects that benefit our growth. David oversees ongoing files, as well as the planning and coordination of the executive committee’s activities. He also contributes to the company’s overall strategy.

Before joining Trudel, David served as political attaché and Director of the Mayor’s Cabinet in Lévis. He made the jump to the private sector with a tinge of nostalgia. Beyond the fact that William and Jonathan were very persuasive, David was attracted to our expanding organization and dynamic team. He also brings with him his experience as a businessman and expert in politics and communication. This infusion of fresh blood will undoubtedly contribute to the vitality of Trudel Corporation.

That’s why, at the onset of the crisis, they reached out to the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale, which informed them of an urgent need for large, easily accessible spaces to set up a testing clinic. The former Sears garage at Fleur de Lys seemed like the ideal location. However, it had been out of use for years—the washroom facilities were unusable, the roof was leaking, and the place was far from perfect. But it would become perfect in record time!

The Trudel team quickly mobilized suppliers and employees. The project was organized in fifteen minutes and would run around the clock. In just seven days, Quebec City’s largest testing clinic was ready—a real feat given the circumstances! It went on to serve thousands of citizens through the end of fall 2020.

The construction site was organized in 15 minutes and operated 24 hours a day. In just seven days, the largest testing clinic in Quebec was ready. It was a true feat given the circumstances! The clinic welcomed thousands of citizens until the end of the fall of 2020.

As part of the analysis conducted by the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE) on the Structuring Public Transport Network (RSTC), Trudel Alliance produced a brief emphasizing its vision for sustainable mobility in the City of Quebec in the coming years. The document focuses on the importance of adequately serving the outer ring of the metropolitan area, prioritizing the urbanization of the Laurentian Highway, and ensuring the proper integration of the Quebec–Lévis tunnel exit planned for the Fleur de Lys sector.
The final report from the BAPE was released in November and incorporates some of our recommendations. The final form of the RSTC is still to be determined, but Trudel Alliance remains a committed player in the collective reflection surrounding its implementation.

As part of one of the largest real estate transactions in Quebec in recent years, Trudel Alliance confirmed on December 18, 2019, the acquisition of the Quebec real estate portfolio from First Capital Realty.

This $165 million transaction includes 28 properties spread across seven commercial sites: Carrefour Soumande, Galeries Charlesbourg, Place Seigneuriale, Place des Quatre-Bourgeois, Place Naviles, Carrefour St-David, and Les Promenades de Lévis. Rightfully, the Trudel brothers are particularly proud to create, through this transaction, a new flagship real estate project for Quebec. A reinvention process similar to that of Fleur de Lys will be implemented to gather the expectations of the surrounding community, merchants, and community organizations. Desjardins Entreprises Québec-Capitale and RBC Royal Bank proudly supported the entrepreneurs.

Brothers Jonathan and William Trudel begin the revitalization of their recent acquisition, the Fleur de Lys shopping center. They will announce Thursday a partnership with Disney and the International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament to organize a new family event, the FDL Fest. These festivities will take place from February 13 to 24, coinciding with the hockey competition.

In July 2018, brothers Jonathan and William Trudel acquired this iconic shopping center in the Quebec City region with great enthusiasm. As promised, the consultation process began immediately in order to not only revitalize this site but also design a new living space that will meet the needs and expectations of the entire surrounding area, right at the gateway to downtown Quebec City. The positive response from merchants and the warm welcome from Mayor Régis Labeaume were immediate. Trudel Alliance will implement best practices to ensure a respectful transition while ensuring harmonious and beneficial development for both the population and the current staff and merchants. The Trudel brothers are rolling up their sleeves to forge strong ties with the Fleur de Lys community and officially return this site to the people of Quebec City. This major acquisition was made possible thanks to the financial participation of Desjardins Entreprises Québec-Capitale, RBC Capital Markets, and real estate broker Delta Commercial.
